This web app examines thousands of the most recent news and blog posts to get a sense of the online buzz around each of 13 Grammy nominations and makes predictions on which artist will win each nomination. After the Grammy awards I'll compare how well my predictions faired against Billboard's Predictions.

[edit] About the hack
To build this hack I used the Echo Nest APIs to collect a large set of news stories and blog posts for each Grammy nominated artist. I then tracked how often 'grammy' was mentioned along with the name of the nominated item (song title, album name, etc.) I combined the news mentions and blog mentions with the artists overall hotttnesss to create a composite score that I used to make the prediction on who would when.
