[edit] About the hack

We created a space where music lovers (aka Spotify users) can meet and interact with each other over their favorite artists.

Just start playing any song and you will find yourself in a group chat room with other people! The people in this room are all also listening to the same artist as you. You can chat with them, see them through the webcam, see which songs they are listening to and even stalk them if you want to. This was build as an Spotify app and turned out to be a really fun project to do for our first hackathon.

Oh, and we've got zombies!

[edit] APIs

Video sharing was done with opentok. The music comes from Spotify using the Spotify Apps API. There is a backend running on Heroku And also our small chat thumbnails are generated with Robohash
