[edit] Soundtrack of You
Winds back the calendar nine months from your date of birth so you can hear the music your parents might have been listening to when they got busy makin' you.
Which is usually about as appealing as you'd imagine.

[edit] About the Hack
We ask for your date of birth, then go back nine months and do a search of the Rovi API to find songs released around that date. Once we know some songs, we use the Rdio API to let you listen to a 30 second sample (or the whole song if you're an Rdio subscriber and you've got the stomach to listen to the whole song.
[edit] What APIs, tools or kit did you use?
Rovi API for music search Rdio API for web playback Bello-Pro and Brevia fonts from Typekit Lots of CSS3 transitions (sorry old browsers - it's a hack day, use Chrome)
We tinkered with the z-or-7digital and echonest APIs for search, playback and purchase, but they didn't make it into the code demo :(
